HITRUST understands that our practitioners are busy, and to make it easier for them to keep their certification up to date and in good standing, we now provide a self-paced, eLearning course that will help them complete the training at their convenience. The refresher course updates participants on the latest developments regarding the HITRUST CSF, the MyCSF tool and any changes to the HITRUST CSF Assurance program.
Previously, the Certified CSF Practitioner Refresher Course was conducted as a WebEx session, which required attendees to conform their schedule to the Central Time Zone. By moving to an online format, HITRUST was able to better accommodate students in different time zones, particularly those who were participating internationally. The new format also made it possible to administer tests after each module to ensure the information was being effectively retained.
“We’re dedicated to providing in-depth refresher training to all CCSFPs in a manner that can be scheduled at their convenience, and that will keep them current on changes to the HITRUST CSF, tools and process,” said Eric Moriak, director in assurance services, HITRUST.
To maintain the integrity and effectiveness of our HITRUST Certified CSF Practitioners (CCSFPs) in the field, HITRUST Academy requires all CCSFPs to attend an annual refresher training course.
More details on the refresher course, including cost, can be found here. We urge all HITRUST CCSFPs to plan their refresher training in a timely manner and remind them that it is each practitioner’s responsibility to monitor and satisfy the requirements associated with maintaining their certification.
We appreciate your diligence and cooperation in keeping your certification current. You can view the schedule and register for training here.
