HIMSS 2018 is upon us, and HITRUST®—including our extended team of partners, assessors, and certified entities—are going to be in attendance; many will be exhibiting and speaking during the week of March 5-9 in Las Vegas as well.
We have a lot to discuss and would like to invite you to join us for the conversation on the day, at the time, and in the venue that suits you best. Below you’ll find some of the places you can find us.
Stop by the Booth for Chat; Grab a Comic Book While You’re There
HITRUST will have a number of risk management, regulatory compliance, and cybersecurity specialists ready to have a good ‘ole chat with you at Booth #29. You can find the booth in the Cybersecurity Command Center.
At our booth, our team will be ready to discuss the following topics with you:
- Our latest release of the HITRUST CSF, v9.1
- The latest details for getting the most out of MyCSF
- Key learnings from our recent Third Party Assurance Summit
- The synergies that exist between assessments, controls, compliance, and your cybersecurity posture
Plus, we’ll also have copies of our new comic book! It’s really fun to read. Don’t forget to grab a copy while you’re at the booth.
The Cybersecurity Command Center is located on Level 2 in the Veronese Room. It’s Third Party Risk Management Time
HITRUST’s Michael Parisi, VP, Assurance Strategy & Community Development, is leading a must-attend session, “Managing a Third-Party Risk Management Program.” This session is designed to help organizations recognize, measure, and mitigate the risks associated with their third-party vendors.
During this session, Parisi will look at how the use of third-parties to support business functions introduces challenges surrounding the need to ensure that these third-parties have and maintain an appropriate information security posture. He will also look at how to manage the costs associated with creating and maintaining a third-party risk management program, which can be significant if the organization fails to leverage a streamlined, scalable, and intelligent third-party assurance program that provides the appropriate level of transparency and coverage up, down, and across the entire third-party vendor supply chain.
You can learn more about this session on the HIMSS website here: http://www.himssconference.org/session/managing-third-party-risk-management-program.
Lunching and Learning with Microsoft and Peers
Just ahead of HIMSS, Microsoft announced the launch of its new artificial intelligence (AI) and Cloud Computing tools for intelligent health which includes the Microsoft Azure Security and Compliance Blueprint for security for HIPAA and HITRUST. As noted in the release, this end-to-end application will help healthcare organizations move to the cloud with greater simplicity, compliance, security and industry-standard compatibility.
If you want to learn more about this and other collaborations between Microsoft, HITRUST, and other healthcare partners, be sure to connect with us for a limited-availability lunch and learn session “Defense against the dark cyber arts: Intelligent health, privacy and compliance in health.”
During this lunch-time session, HITRUST’s Michael Parisi joins Microsoft’s WW Health Chief Information Security Officer, Hector Rodriguez as they explore the unique opportunity the industry has to streamline care while ensuring compliance and security for the world’s massive amounts health data. If you want to learn more and see about reserving your spot at the table, please visit: https://enterprise.microsoft.com/en-us/trends/lunch-learns-presented-by-microsoft/.
If none of these options work for you, we can certainly find some time to connect with you individually. To schedule a meeting with us, please contact HITRUST at email@example.com.
We Look Forward to Talking with You
As you can see, there’s a lot to talk about. Let’s get the conversation started. Together, as an industry, we can all make a difference in achieving a higher level of security and compliance in a more transparent, meaningful, and streamlined fashion.
See you in Las Vegas!
