HITRUST understands the unique challenges members of the healthcare industry face in managing the constantly changing information security and privacy landscape. Staying on top of your certifications along with all the latest requirements and other developments can be difficult. HITRUST is always striving to make that a little easier.

HITRUST Academy provides the only training courses designed to educate healthcare security professionals about:

  • How to provide information protection in the healthcare industry through the HITRUST CSF
  • What the role of the HITRUST CSF is in healthcare information security and privacy risk management
  • How the HITRUST CSF and CSF Assurance programs form the basis for Healthcare and Public Health (HPH) Sector Guidance for implementation of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework
  • How one can prepare for and assess an organization’s information protection program against the evolving threat and compliance landscape shaped by HITECH, HIPAA, CMS and various other federal, state and business requirements.

That’s why we’re constantly updating and improving the HITRUST Academy Certified CSF Practitioner and related refresher class curriculum to offer relevant, more in-depth content that’s easier for professionals to access, understand and leverage.

Due to changes associated with v8.1 of the HITRUST CSF and MyCSF tool, we are improving the video-based components tied to the Certified CSF Practitioner course.  And, in the very near future, the annual refresher training classes will become self-paced, allowing you register for, and view, the appropriate refresher training at your convenience while still having access to an instructor for questions.

As a reminder, to keep your Certified CSF Practitioner (CCSFP) credential current and in good standing, you must attend the HITRUST CCSFP annual refresher training no later than the end of the month of the annual anniversary date of your last certification. You must also attend the full onsite training class and pass the associated exam every third year –  so check your calendar. If you need to obtain your certification, or need a refresher to stay current, please visit the HITRUST Academy site now and register – or create your User Account.  Classes fill up quickly!
